Caring for Stainless Steel and Ebony Wood

Although the blade is made of stainless steel, we recommend keeping the tool clean and dry. Under no circumstances should you wash the knife in a dishwasher! Harsh detergents and high temperatures would irreversibly damage the natural ebony wood and the leather sheath. After use, simply wipe the blade with a damp cloth and dry it thoroughly. Both the wooden handle and the leather sheath will appreciate being lightly rubbed with a drop of linseed oil or leather balsam occasionally. This prevents them from drying out and revives their colour. For a perfectly smooth action of the opening mechanism, apply a small amount of high-quality knife oil directly into the blade pivot joint from time to time.
