Dual-Sided Viking Ox Horn Grooming Comb
Inspired by Historical Originals
Combs crafted from horn, bone and antler were essential personal belongings throughout the Roman Empire and remained widely used across Europe during the 6th to 11th centuries. Archaeological discoveries from Viking trading centres such as Birka, Hedeby, York and Dublin demonstrate that personal grooming played an important role in everyday life. Well-kept hair and neatly groomed beards were regarded as signs of cleanliness, respectability and social standing among both Norse men and women.
This comb is handcrafted from 100% natural ox horn obtained from ethically sourced material. The horn is carefully polished to create a smooth finish while preserving its natural beauty. Because horn is an organic material, every comb features unique colour tones, grain patterns and subtle variations that cannot be replicated.
Dual-Sided Teeth for Versatile Grooming
The comb features fine teeth on one side for detailed styling of hair, beards and moustaches, while the opposite side has wider-spaced teeth designed for gently detangling thicker or longer hair. Combining durability with a lightweight design, it is ideal for everyday use at home, while travelling, during historical reenactment events or at LARP gatherings.
A Genuine Natural Material
Since every comb is carved from real ox horn, no two pieces are exactly alike. Natural variations in colour, pattern and shape are a hallmark of authentic horn products and reflect traditional craftsmanship rather than manufacturing defects.

Care and Safety
To keep your comb looking its best, wash it gently using cool or lukewarm water and a mild soap. Dry it immediately with a soft cloth after cleaning. Avoid prolonged soaking, direct sunlight and exposure to excessive heat, as natural horn may dry out or warp over time.
This comb is not suitable for use with very hot water or aggressive chemical hair treatments. As it is made from a natural material, it should be handled carefully. Dropping it onto hard surfaces may result in cracks or breakage.
