Construction and Safety
The cuffs are crafted from durable buff leather (cowhide) approximately 3.5 mm thick. The black colour and silver hardware give them a versatile look suitable for both fantasy and historical-inspired settings. The base consists of two wide cuffs (approx. 2 inches) that fasten with a classic buckle. Thanks to the punched holes in the strap, they are fully adjustable and fit most wrists.
The connection between the hands is secured by a robust double-ended snap hook. This solution is brilliant for LARP safety. If you need to free your hands quickly (e.g., during a fall, injury, or simply to drink water), just click the snap hook and you are free without having to tediously unbuckle the wrist straps. The snap hook is attached to sturdy D-rings riveted to the cuffs.
Historical Context

Care Instructions
To prevent the leather from becoming hard and cracking, it requires care. Store the handcuffs in a dry place. If they get wet, let them dry naturally at room temperature (never on a radiator!). Treat the leather occasionally with beeswax or leather conditioner. You can protect the metal parts from corrosion with a thin layer of oil (e.g., WD-40 or gun oil), especially the snap hook mechanism to keep it smooth.
Tip: For greater comfort, you can smooth the rough inner side of the leather or wear the cuffs over your costume sleeves or gauntlets.
