Black Braided Faux Leather Bullwhip with Brass Studs, 105 cm

Elegant Look and Firm Grip

This whip is not just an ordinary prop. Its handle is reinforced with a wooden core approximately 20 cm (7.9 inches) long, ensuring a firm and secure grip. The black surface is tastefully decorated with brass studs, which not only look good but also help prevent your hand from slipping. The transition between the rigid handle and the flexible part of the whip, as well as the pommel, is finished with a decorative Turk's head knot in reddish-brown. At the end of the handle, you will find a practical wrist loop, so you won't lose the whip even in the heat of action.

Historical Context: From Tool to Symbol of Power

Whips of this type, often referred to as "bullwhips", have a long history. They were originally used by cattle drovers to control herds using a loud crack that breaks the sound barrier. However, in the hands of overseers or soldiers, they became feared instruments of punishment. In popular culture, as seen in films, the whip became a symbol of adventurers and archaeologists. Although this model is made of modern faux leather, its design faithfully imitates the classic leather whips used in the 19th and early 20th centuries.

Safety and Usage

Although this whip is primarily a costume accessory, please bear in mind that it is a functional item. Striking with this whip can cause painful injury. When handling, always ensure that no other person or animal is within range. If you wish to learn how to crack it, we recommend wearing safety glasses and practising in an open space. This product is not a toy for small children.

Care Instructions

Since the whip is made of faux leather, its maintenance is very easy and differs from real leather. Here are a few tips to keep it in good condition:

  • Cleaning: In case of dirt, simply wipe the whip with a damp cloth. Do not use aggressive chemicals.
  • Conditioning: Unlike real leather, do not use oils or waxes, as they could damage the material or make it unnecessarily greasy.
  • Storage: Store the whip loosely coiled in a dry place. Do not leave it in direct sunlight or near heaters for long periods to prevent the material from cracking.
  • The Cracker: The string at the end wears out with use. Cracking on concrete or asphalt will destroy it very quickly, so it is better to practise on grass.
