Medieval tableware

Wood, ceramics, horn and metal - these were the main materials from which the tableware were made for cooking and cooking. The medieval tableware are still in use today. It can serve as an interesting decoration of the interior, or as a necessary complement to the historical celebration, camps, LARPS, convention or any other action with the medieval theme.

Medieval tableware

The tableware that our ancestors used for food or food preparation was quite varied. Most of the pieces were made of wood, ceramics or horn, or was braided. To drink jars, horns, cups and cups were used made of wood or metal. The flat plate that we know today did not exist, mainly because most of the food was made up of meat, soups or porridges. The bowls of different extent served to the table instead of the plates. Driven tin or bronze metal crockery was rare and most commonly found on the nobility table.
