France set the fashion trend in the Baroque period. It sent dressed puppets - men and women - to the rest of Europe every month - and the other countries actually "mimicked" them. Men's baroque clothing traditionally consisted of a shirt with wide sleeves, a vest, trousers, stockings and a coat. Baroque fashion was airy, fluffy and richly decorated.
