Cuirass Avenger

The Avenger Cuirass is made from approximately 1.2mm (18 gauge) sheet steel. The individual plates are riveted into the inner strips of thick leather. The plates follow each other in shape and this system allows good mobility of the wearer. The two halves of the cuirass are connected at the top over the shoulders by a pair of straps and then on each side by 7 straps with iron buckles. Such armor well copies the shape of the layer of the fighter's underlying clothing, which looks quite elegant. The inside of the breastplate is blackened to prevent corrosion. More information...
