Loosening of a cross | guard cannot be in many cases avoided as well. It can be fixed by additional riveting or tightening the screw joint. Haven't used it yet in combat. Weight and balance are very good for this kind of weapon. No rattles, cross guard slot was near perfectly milled out. The only thing I don't like about it, which applies to most Fabri Messers, is the pommel seems a too big. I wish the grip was longer with a smaller pommel like on historic examples. Even still it's not that big of a deal and it is meant to be a stage weapon. As a stage weapon I see no serious faults in it and it handles well.
