
The model for this bag comes from preserved sources of Finnish-Russian designs circa from the 12th century. It is especially popular with fans of living history. Finnish-Russian bag Ilari is made of up to 3 mm thick smooth cowhide. It is worn suspended from the belt via two loops that are attached to it with brass decorated plates fitted on the bag. The bagis closed with a leather strap over the entire bag's flap. The end of the strap is protected with a brass plate.
