This intimidating and deadly hunters axe has a thick wooden shaft which further widens towards the end. This ensures the axe won’t slip out of the hunters hand even when swung from horseback. The imposing steel axe head securely grips the hardwood shaft. Axes such as this could be used in many hunting related activities, such as chopping the carcass, removing the hide, and was sturdy enough to cut bone as well. The hunters axe was also useful if some clearing work needed to be done whilst out on the hunt. The axe head is made of high carbon steel.
