Nepřímo odkazuje na knihu Důmyslný rytíř don Quijote de la Mancha z roku 1605, která je pravděpodobně nejslavnějším španělským románem a jedním z klíčových děl světové literatury. Jeho autorem je Miguel de Cervantes y Saavedra. Jedná se o román z období renesance, který uvedl do literatury komicky vyjádřený rozpor mezi skutečností a iluzí. Meč jsem zakoupil nejen proto, že je velmi kvalitně zpracovaný, ale také proto, že odkazuje na toto dílo a mnohdy marný boj s tím co nás přesahuje.
