History and Usage of Oriental Garments
This striking costume draws inspiration from the traditional fashion of the Ottoman Empire and the Middle East from the 16th to the 19th century. The baggy trousers, also known as harem pants or sirwal, were commonly worn by both men and women in this region, providing essential breathability and comfort in the hot desert climate. During the 18th and 19th centuries, a wave of so-called Turquerie swept through the European nobility, making dressing in oriental attire highly fashionable. Therefore, the costume is absolutely ideal for portraying oriental characters at LARPs, for dancers, theatrical performances, or historical festivals. Please note that the metal bracelet and other accessories shown in the photographs are not included.

This costume is available in standard sizes according to this size chart. The garment is tailored exactly to measure without any surcharge. In this case, simply fill in this measurement chart after completing your order. Upon request, the garment is also produced in other colours according to these fabric swatches. Please note the desired colour in the comment box of your order. Always state (1) the swatch number, (2) the colour letter, and (3) the colour name. If a fabric with a different composition is chosen, the price may change. Any potential price change is always consulted before processing the order.
Costume Care and Safety
The satin gives the garment a beautiful shine, and the cotton ensures durability. To ensure this luxurious garment serves you for as long as possible, we highly recommend you care for it with the utmost caution. Due to the sensitive sequins and braids, it is recommended that the garment be washed exclusively by hand at a temperature up to 30 °C. The turban with the ostrich feather must not be washed or soaked. More details can be found in the cleaning and maintenance instructions. For safety reasons, never approach an open flame while wearing this loose garment, as flowing fabrics and synthetic blends are highly flammable!
