Letter openers

Letter openers are products of a time when communication was much more solemn than it is today. Initially, the main task of a blunt knife was to cut the individual pages of a book left uncut by printers. Gradually, however, these knives became an important tool of fashionable tableware, which carefully and neatly opened correspondence.
