This sword is a replica of the Norwegian sword of Hedmark which is dated to the late 9th Century. The original sword is kept at the Museum of Cultural History in Oslo. The swords blade is double edged, non-sharpened and features a wide fuller. The guard and the wide, for this type of sword usual pommel, are made of steel. The pommel is riveted. The grip is wrapped with a strip of leather.
