The flat black saya features a black cotton sageo. The tsuka has genuine ray skin (same) with a black synthetic leather tsuka-ito for better gripping qualities. The Practical Plus Tanto´s blade is hand-forged of high-carbon steel and differentially hardened using a traditional claying method. The temper line (hamon) is evident and prominent.
