Viking braiding fork Lucet made of bone

A lucet is a tool used in cordmaking or braiding which is believed to date back to the Viking and Medieval periods, when it was used to create cords that were used on clothing, or to hang items from the belt. Unlike braiding in the hand, Lucet does not need to cut a thread of defined length in advance. You can just start making the cord and stop after you reached the desired length. It's easy to make longer cords with it.
