This pleated belt pouch was common in the area of southern Wales at the time when the legend about king Arthur came into existence, i.e. in about the 5th century. The bag has the form of a pouch. The closing is secured via a decorative staff. The front part with the flap is made of up to 2.5 mm thick cowhide. The pleated sides of the pouch are made of up to 1.8 mm thick soft leather.
