Feder, Fechtfeder swords

The Fechtfeder sword has a thin blunt and flexible blade with a wide (parry hook, blade catcher, ricasso is not the exact term) at the cross-guard. It has slightly lower weight and the centre of gravity (POB) slightly closer to the parry that the common long swords of the 15th century. This special construction has the effect of an easier sword handling. The spatulated safety blade tip can be covered with a leather sleeve for a higher safety.
