This bag is a variant of the small peasant's bag for money (so-called wallet). It is made of up to 2.5 mm thick smooth cowhide. It is worn on the belt attached to it by a loop. Besides the colour shown in the picture the bag is available in other colours: see the choice of colour.

Medieval money bag from leather

The bag is closed with a small clasp that is sewn onto the product's flap.

  • The bag’s height is 11.5 cm
  • The bag’s width is 13 cm
  • The bag’s depth is 3 cm

Please note: This product is made by hand from genuine leather. This is a purely natural material. Minor differences in the colour and surface texture are its natural characteristics. These small imperfections do not decrease the value of the product. Each piece is to some extent an original.

What is the difference between industrially rolled and hand-forged blades?

In the case of hand-forged blades, our blacksmith takes the already rolled spring steel and forges it by hand on the anvil or under the drop hammer. The steel gets more solid (denser) by forging. In the case of industrially rolled spring steel blades, the sheets of steel plate is cut to strips under drop snips, then ground or milled and immediately forged into the annealing furnace and oil-quenched. The properties of both kinds of steels are not very different, since industrial rolling is already very good! On forged blades are usually blacksmith marks, which give them an authentic and unique look.
