The Sporran is a small leather bag that Scots wear on their kilts. In fact it is a substitute for pockets and various small objects, such as money, may be stored in it. It is worn at the level of the crotch. This traditional Scottish sporran is made of wild boar fur and of up to 2.5 mm thick smooth cowhide. Scottish sporran with a Celtic pattern was modelled on a specimen from the 11th - 12th century.More information
