This Gothic belt was modelled on a specimen from Western Flanders (Belgium) dating back to the 12th century. The traditional artisanal combination of the blacksmith's and belt-maker's craftsmanship gave this product a simple but very practical design. Up to 4 mm thick cowhide and an iron hand-hammered wrought buckle guarantees certain firmness and durability of the belt. A decorative groove is engraved along its edges. The buckle is manually sewn onto the belt's strap with flaxy bleached thread.
