Arrow Selection Guide for PSE Stinger ATK
Choosing the right arrow is vital for accuracy and your safety. A mismatched arrow can fly poorly or even shatter upon release.
1. Spine (Arrow Stiffness)
Spine refers to the arrow's flexibility. The lower the number, the stiffer the arrow. Use the table below to find your match:

2. Arrow Length
Your arrows should ideally be 0.5 to 1 inch (1.3 – 2.5 cm) longer than your measured draw length. If your draw is set to 28", go for 29" arrows. Never use an arrow so short that it can fall off the rest at full draw – this is extremely dangerous!
3. Arrow Weight (Grains)
Follow the golden rule for compound bows: at least 5 grains for every pound of draw weight. If your bow is set to 70 lbs, the total arrow weight (including the tip) must not fall below 350 grains. For hunting and 3D archery, we recommend a total weight of 380–420 grains for better stability and bow longevity.
Care and Maintenance
- Apply high-quality wax to the string and cables regularly.
- Never Dry Fire! Releasing the bow without an arrow will destroy the limbs and cams instantly.
- Inspect arrows for cracks before every shooting session.
