Norman Sword with scabbard Hastian
Replica of a high medieval one-handed sword with disc pommel. This type of swords were already used by the Normans and were used in the Crusades. The sword comes with a very nice wood scabbard coated in Leather with a belt loop (for max. 5cm wide belts). The sheath also has a steel chape. Like their famous sword, the Normans' lust for battle and ravenous desire for land and treasure can be undoubtedly traced to their Viking forefathers, who wrenched their homeland in north-western France from the hands of Charles the Simple in the Treaty of Saint-Clair-sur-Epte in 911 A.D. Never satisfied with their lot, it wasn't long before they once again took up their broad, double-edged swords and set sail across the English Channel to conquer Britain, most famously at the battle of Hastings in 1066 A.D.
