Open Italian barbute
The Italian barbute is said to be a romantic helmet that tries to imitate the hoplite Greek style, just have a look! Except the material used for the production (hoplites made it from bronze), the main difference between this barbute and the hoplite helmet is the neck protection coonsisting in an optional gorget. These helmets had edge reinforcement on the nasal and face opening. "T" or "Y" shaped face openings (or visors if you like) are another characteristic of this kind of helmets.
