This bag was inspired by the results of the historical research made by Eduard Wagner. When developing it, our Sattler put emphasis on the authenticity, what in particular fans of Living History highly appreciate.
Leather Bag Pilgrim after Wagner, 14.-15. Century is made of genuine deerskin of brown color and is worn over the shoulder. The carrying strap is made of 3.5 mm thick cowhide. It closes with a button made of bronze. The edge of the flap is decorated with embossed tiny ornaments.
Please note: This product is made by hand from genuine leather. This is a purely natural material. Minor differences in the colour and surface texture are its natural characteristics. These small imperfections do not decrease the value of the product. Each piece is to some extent an original.
In the case of hand-forged blades, our blacksmith takes the already rolled spring steel and forges it by hand on the anvil or under the drop hammer. The steel gets more solid (denser) by forging. In the case of industrially rolled spring steel blades, the sheets of steel plate is cut to strips under drop snips, then ground or milled and immediately forged into the annealing furnace and oil-quenched. The properties of both kinds of steels are not very different, since industrial rolling is already very good! On forged blades are usually blacksmith marks, which give them an authentic and unique look.
