Specifications of the full suit of Ladies’ armor Joan of Arc
- the armor consist of the following parts: armet helmet, pauldron, arms, breastplate, backplate, finger gauntlets, cuisses, poleyns, graves and solarets.
- made with regard to maximal mobility (freedom of movement) of all its parts
- made from thin stainless steel plate (1,0/1,25mm, gauge 19) for the purpose of the drama, bit is it also available in rusting steel (1,3-1,5mm, gauge 18)
- precise belt-buckle-fastening, so that the actor can take the armour on the stage (!)
- all uncovered edges folded for safety reasons
- the armor Joan of Arc comes with several spare parts for later possible repairs and maintenance (cotters, hinges, leather straps, rivets)

This ladies’ armor was made made-to-measure for the Norwegian National Theatre in Oslo, for the actor Kjersti Sandal, who performed with this armour on in the play Joan of Arc in 2012/2013.
Joan of Arc as historical figure
Saint Joan of Arc, nicknamed The Maid of Orléans (French: ''Jeanne d'Arc'') is considered a national heroine of France and a Catholic saint. A peasant girl born in eastern France who claimed divine guidance, she led the French army to several important victories during the Hundred Years' War, which paved the way for the coronation of Charles VII. She was captured by the Burgundians, sold to the English, tried by an ecclesiastical court, and burned at the stake when she was 19 years old. Twenty-five years after the execution, Pope Callixtus III examined the trial, pronounced her innocent and declared her a martyr. Joan of Arc was beatified in 1909 and canonized in 1920. She is – along with St. Denis, St. Martin of Tours, St. Louis IX, and St. Theresa of Lisieux – one of the patron saints of France.
