The dagger was an integral part of the renaissance man’s basic apparel, used as a tool, at the table and as the last resort in a combat situation. In many cities swords were not allowed to be carried by commoners, and the dagger was the only legal weapon for self-defence. The oak leaf dagger is a real no-nonsense dagger. Double-edge blade is capable of taking a razor edge and a good point, strong and sharp. Attractive, but above all, serviceable.
