Pauldrons, year 1480

To keep the warrior´s joints safe was a priority on a medieval battlefield. Elbows and Knees were the first to be covered by steel, and shoulders the second paces to become an efficient protection. These pauldrons provided a good shoulder protection without excessive limiting the warriors´ movability. The pauldrons were made after a museum original from 15th century. They were used by the beginning of the 16th century.
