Why only 10 strands?

That is the secret of the hybrid technology. While traditional strings often require 14 or 16 strands for stability, the Whisper String achieves incredible strength with only 10 strands, even for bows with a draw weight of 41 lbs and higher. Fewer strands mean less weight and less drag, resulting in significantly increased arrow speed without sacrificing silence.

The Whisper String was specifically designed to solve the "twang" problem found in many high-performance strings. By mixing specific fibre types, Bearpaw created a string that dampens vibrations almost instantly. This means your bow won't vibrate in your hand, giving you a much more comfortable and accurate follow-through.

Care and Maintenance

To keep those high-performance fibres in top shape, treat the main body of the string regularly with bowstring wax. Rub the wax in with your fingers until friction heat melts it into the strands. Avoid waxing the serving or the reinforced ends. Always check for fraying before every shooting session to ensure maximum safety.

Safety and Warnings

Due to its high-performance nature and low stretch, we recommend using this string only on Fast Flight compatible bows. The reinforced ends provide protection, but the energy transfer is still very high. Most importantly: never dry fire your bow! A dry fire with a string this fast is almost certain to cause catastrophic damage to your bow limbs.

Recommended Accessories

To complement your new string, pick up some quality bowstring wax. For a consistent anchor point, brass nocking points are essential. Always use a bow stringer to put the string on your bow safely. If you want to achieve maximum silence, combine the Whisper String with a set of genuine fur string silencers.
