
The model of the Celtic vambrace is made of hunted game which was the one of the most common sources of material at the time of the Celtic expansion. The bottom part of the guard is made of 0.5-1mm thick ground cowhide. The upper part with fur is made of hunted animals (stag, doe, deer and other animals). The edges of the guard are lined with fine leather that prevents occurrence of a pressure sores at contact with human skin. The guardsare puled together with two buckles.
