Leather Journal Celtic Cross - Brown Leather, Handmade Cotton Paper, Irish

Leather with Patina and a Powerful Symbol

The journal's cover is crafted from genuine cowhide leather in a rich brown colour, whose patina gives the journal an authentic, time-worn appearance. The centre of the front cover is dominated by a large, detailed embossed Celtic Cross, its arms and circle filled with traditional Celtic knotwork patterns. This powerful symbol, combining the Christian cross with the pagan circle of eternity, represents faith, the connection between heaven and earth, eternity, and the interconnectedness of all things. Legend tells that St. Patrick created it to bridge the old faith with the new. The edges of the cover are framed by a decorative embossed border, also featuring Celtic motifs.

Unique Handmade Paper like Old Chronicles

Inside, you'll find 200 pages (100 sheets) of special, handmade paper. Thanks to traditional production using pure cotton, the paper has a unique texture reminiscent of jute and canvas and the appearance of old parchment. The paper is acid-free, ensuring your entries last for ages, and features naturally plain (unlined) pages, giving freedom to your creativity. It's great for writing with a ballpoint pen or pencil, or for drawing with crayons or acrylic paints. Please be aware that ink or watercolours might bleed on this specific type of paper.

Sturdy Construction and Period Clasp

The journal is likely hand-bound, ensuring its durability. For secure closure, there's a distinctive metal clasp made of patinated brass in a hook style, which perfectly complements the historical design.

Practical Dimensions

Measuring approximately 17.8 cm high by 12.7 cm wide (roughly 7 x 5 inches) and about 3 cm thick, with a weight of around 365 grams, the journal is ideal for daily carrying as well as for moments of quiet contemplation.

This leather Celtic Cross journal isn't just a place to write. It's a symbol imbued with deep meaning, a piece of craftsmanship, and a companion for your spiritual journeys, recording family history, or creative endeavours. Perfect for yourself or as a gift of lasting value.
