Chainmail Voiders, Flat Rings Riveted and Alternating, ID 9 mm

This chainmail voiders were used under the plate armour by knights who didn’t want to encumber themselves with the weight of a full chainmail shirt. Under the armour, it protects the lower part of the arm and armpit from attacks that target vulnerable spots of the armour.

These voiders are intricately handmade from 1,37mm thick (1.15 mm) mild-steel rings with a diameter of approx. 9 mm, riveted with dome rivets. For increased strength, the riveted rings alternate with solid flat rings. These Chainmail Voiders come in a single size that fits most.
