Axes

The axe has been used to shape, split and cut wood since prehistoric times. However, it has been also used as a weapon. Battle axes are classified as cutting weapons. Each ax is composed of a shaft / helve and a metal head. Halberd developed from the axe by lengthening of the helve into the pole.

The category Axes contains replicas of battle axes that are inspired by axes from the ancient and recent times. Some of them are even made exactly after historical originals. Take a look at one-handed axes, two-handed axes, double-edged axes or Viking axes. We recommend to acquire also an axe case if you are going to wear the axe onto your outfit. Your axe will be then protected against damages during transport and you and people that could get in contact with it are protected as well.

We offer battle models of axes as historical weapon replicas here – these axes differ from lumberjack axes. Helves of these axes are longer and heavier. The cutting edge can be on both sides of the blade. Battle axes were mainly used in northern Europe. They were especially popular among Vikings. American Indians used throwing axes, so called tomahawks.

Don′t miss modern outdoor axes in our offer. Last but not least we have here fantasy axes for all fantasy enthusiasts. Fantasy battle axe is a typical weapon of Dwarfs in fantasy books and fantasy movies.
