This Battle Ready Bascinet with Flap-Up-Visor is not padded inside. A leather chin strap is included. This Combat Helmet was used in the 14th century to lessen and redirect impacts to the face and head. The wedge-like shape of the visor and the whole helm allow direct blows to be bounced off the helmet. The hinged visor gives a good visibility and ventilation.
