Particularly noteworthy is the tsuba with the decoration - Golden oriole and various beetles. This decoration is made after a pattern maintained from the history. - The blade of the sword is hand hammered from 1065 carbon steel, hardened in a traditional way. The hardness of the blade edge is 60 degrees Rockwell. The flexible blade back is 40 degrees Rockwell hard. - Due to the special hardening processs the blade has got a hamon line. - The varnished wooden scabbard has a dark-blue tint.
