Viking knife Jorvik, 9-11th cen.

  • 246mm – total length
  • 144mm – blade length
  • 21*5mm – blade section at the handle
  • 23*35mm – elliptic section of the hard-wood handle (made of ash, beech or oak)
  • 170 g – weight of the knife
  • 242 g – weight of the knife incl. leather scabbard
  • The hand-forged blade of spring steel is hardened to approx. 54 HRC according to Rockwell
  • The blade edge is sharp!

The scabbard is individually made exactly to the measure of each knife. It is decorated with beaten and carved heron motive.

Please note:

  1. Specifications may slightly differ from piece to piece.
  2. The oil-quenched steel blade may get broken if the knife falls onto the hard ground.
