A baldric is a belt worn over one shoulder that is typically used to carry a weapon across the torso (usually a sword) or other implement such as a bugle or drum. Our version is intended for weapons. You can wear the baldric even if you are not a fencing master. Together with a decorative weapon your contemporary costume can be supplemented so perfectly! We recommend to wear swords and other bladed weapons in the baldric always in a scabbard to prevent unnecessary injuries.
Please note: This product is made by hand from genuine leather. This is a purely natural material. Minor differences in the colour and surface texture are its natural characteristics. These small imperfections do not decrease the value of the product. Each piece is to some extent an original.
In the case of hand-forged blades, our blacksmith takes the already rolled spring steel and forges it by hand on the anvil or under the drop hammer. The steel gets more solid (denser) by forging. In the case of industrially rolled spring steel blades, the sheets of steel plate is cut to strips under drop snips, then ground or milled and immediately forged into the annealing furnace and oil-quenched. The properties of both kinds of steels are not very different, since industrial rolling is already very good! On forged blades are usually blacksmith marks, which give them an authentic and unique look.
