This period belt of supreme quality is made out of genuine, deep-stained cow leather. It is very durable and has a long life span. The Leather Belt Mades is equipped with a bronze serrated buckle, which was made in traditional way (Lost-wax casting). It is decorated along its entire length in the style of the 13th Century with stamped floral motifs. The edges are ironed and therefore do not fray. The edges of the belt are decorated with burnt line. The buckle is hand-sewn with linen thread onto the belt.
If you note your waist circumference (at the belt line) into the comment of your order, we will cut 5 holes into the belt on corresponding places.
Please note: This product is made by hand from genuine leather. This is a purely natural material. Minor differences in the colour and surface texture are its natural characteristics. These small imperfections do not decrease the value of the product. Each piece is to some extent an original.
In the case of hand-forged blades, our blacksmith takes the already rolled spring steel and forges it by hand on the anvil or under the drop hammer. The steel gets more solid (denser) by forging. In the case of industrially rolled spring steel blades, the sheets of steel plate is cut to strips under drop snips, then ground or milled and immediately forged into the annealing furnace and oil-quenched. The properties of both kinds of steels are not very different, since industrial rolling is already very good! On forged blades are usually blacksmith marks, which give them an authentic and unique look.
