Churburg Gauntlets

This pair of gauntlets presents a rare example of combination of comfort and historical accuracy. As this is steel and not titanium, the weight is as expected but at the same it is not excessive. Moreover while you can feel the weight of the steel when you hold them, it is perfectly balanced on your wrists when you put them on. The low cut on the inside of the cuff is a very clever adaptation that amounts to the weight balance and comfort of these gauntlets. They fit just perfect for each size and the steel protection on the fingers is made so as to absorb and deflect hits. Your fingertips are not exposed, as they never touch the very end of the leather gloves, with a gap of about 1 cm, therefore staying always in safe away from being hit.

Very good and they look great a great addition to a Churburg armour set.

Tyto Rukavice poskytují dobrou ochranu při bitvách, avšak to je jejich asi jedinou výhodou, vlastním je již nějakou dobu, tudíž jsem si je mohl již pořádně ozkoušet. Na rukavicích jsem provedl mnoho úprav, aby byly pohodně použitelné. Hlavní problém je asi to, že kornout na spodní straně neskutečně překáží a v důsledku toho se špatně ohýbá zápěstí. Pak ještě detail spíše estetického charakteru je, že kožená rukavice není ke kovové části přišita po obvodu, ale pouze na špičkách prstů, přičemž tento nedostatek vyvažují jakési řemínky na prstech, avšak tyto vypadají velice nevzhledně. Tedy celkové hodnocení je, že ochrana dobrá, vzhled celkem ujde, avšak pohyblivost bez rozsáhlejších úprav je velice špatná.
