The scabbard was modelled on a historical specimen dating back circa to the beginning of the 14th century. The sword scabbard Middle Ages is made of up to 2.5 mm thick high-quality cowhide. It is pressed and moulded. The hanger with a belt is made of up to 4 mm thick cowhide. The belt's buckle is cast from bronze using the lost wax technique, which guarantees a casting of very high quality.
The belt's width is 5 cm. The belt's leigth is 150 cm. If you pay a certain additional fee we will produce for you a longer belt to order. The belt's maximum production length is 210 cm. When ordering this product, please specify your waist measure. Otherwise the first hole is cut out at the length corresponding to the waist measure of 90 cm. Besides the colour shown in the picture the scabbard is available in other colours: see the choice of colour.

Please note: This product is made by hand from genuine leather. This is a purely natural material. Minor differences in the colour and surface texture are its natural characteristics. These small imperfections do not decrease the value of the product. Each piece is to some extent an original.
In the case of hand-forged blade our blacksmith takes the already rolled spring steel and forges it with hand on the anvil or under the monkey (drop hammer). By forging becomes the steel more compacted (denser). Industrially rolled spring steel blades are made by cutting steel plate into strips under drop shears. Then they are ground or milled/grooved and without further forging directly put into the annealing furnace and hardened in oil bath. The qualities of both kinds of blades do not differ from each other much since the industrial rolling is already very good. On forged blades usually have forge traces, which give them an authentic and unique look.
