The Falcata is an Iberian weapon from the time of the Romans. They were very appreciated by the warriors and made normally custom sized, as every Faltaca has the approximate size of the arm, and made in IRON. It's a kind of saber of convex form with edge along the cutting part, and the tip.
Made in the Czech Republic.
It is said that the Falcata comes from the Greek machaira or the kopis but with some modifications that makes the weapon unique.
The first Falcatas found are from the 5th century b.C. and remained until the 1st century b.C. The name FALCATA comes from the 19th century and we do not know exactly what's the original name of the weapon.
