The original sword scabbard with a hanger for a sword and other cold weapons is composed of a scabbard made of up to 3 mm thick smooth cowhide and of a hanger, which is made of up to 4 mm thick cowhide. Buckles are made of iron and hand forged. Long-term high firmness is guaranteed. The sword scabbard is sewn together in the central part with a leather strip.
The sword hangs on the wider belt, which is loosely tied around the waist. The narrower (second) belt on the other hand is tied around the waist tightly, so that the sword belt does not slide down.
The hanger is composed of a 4cm wide belt, which is worn at the hip, and a 2.5 cm wide belt, which is worn around waist. The maximum total length of the belts is 150 cm. At your request we can produce longer belts. When ordering this product, please specify your waist measure. Besides the colour shown in the picture the hanger is available in other colours: see the choice of colour.
The sword scabbard will made after this measurement chart. Please fill it in after you finish your order.
Please note: This product is made by hand from genuine leather. This is a purely natural material. Minor differences in the colour and surface texture are its natural characteristics. These small imperfections do not decrease the value of the product. Each piece is to some extent an original.
In the case of hand-forged blade our blacksmith takes the already rolled spring steel and forges it with hand on the anvil or under the monkey (drop hammer). By forging becomes the steel more compacted (denser). Industrially rolled spring steel blades are made by cutting steel plate into strips under drop shears. Then they are ground or milled/grooved and without further forging directly put into the annealing furnace and hardened in oil bath. The qualities of both kinds of blades do not differ from each other much since the industrial rolling is already very good. On forged blades usually have forge traces, which give them an authentic and unique look.
