Returning goods from a non-EU country

Returning goods from a non-EU country It is unfortunately for goods sold over the Internet typical: the closer to the body it is, the higher is the probability of returning it for size exchange.

Returns of goods from non-EU country (outside the EU customs territory) are often problematic and the clearance by the local customs is lengthy and complicated. It is necessary to prove the original export, the real value of the goods and verify the identity of the customer and the merchant (us).

Official way

In this case, it is necessary to send goods to the following address:

Wellcrafted s.r.o.
Golovinova 1709
43201 Kadan
Czech Republic
Phone 608973359

Please enclose the following documents (you can stick an envelope with them on the parcel):

  1. Statutory declaration that you are a natural person (see below)
  2. A proof of purchase (we can send you our invoice by email on request)
  3. Proof of the paid postage (from your country to Czech Republic, it will be issued by your shipping company)
  4. Your approval to bear the cost of the customs clearance (about 30-40 €)

Regardless of the fact that we are trying to work as quickly as possible, please note that posting goods the official way takes a very long time! Because of that, the whole returning process can take about 1 to 3 months.

Unofficial way

There is another way that cannot be officially recommended (it would be fraud abetment), but it proved to some of our customers.

They packaged the goods and enclosed to it a fictitious proof of value up to 10€ with a text (e.g. birthday congratulation) saying this is an old thing (not bought recently) being sent to a friend as a gift for free.

These customers sent the goods to the address of our colleague:

Vladana Milfaitová
Golovinova 1709
43201 Kadan
Czech Republic
Tel. 608207197

We usually received such parcel reshipments within approx. 3 weeks. Although it has never happened so far, it should be noted that in case a loss or damage of the goods it is you to bear the risk and cost.

Advisory Service: Questions and Answers

What is the difference between industrially rolled and hand-forged blade?

In the case of hand-forged blade our blacksmith takes the already rolled spring steel and forges it with hand on the anvil or under the monkey (drop hammer). By forging becomes the steel more compacted (denser). Industrially rolled spring steel blades are made by cutting steel plate into strips under drop shears. Then they are ground or milled/grooved and without further forging directly put into the annealing furnace and hardened in oil bath. The qualities of both kinds of blades do not differ from each other much since the industrial rolling is already very good. On forged blades usually have forge traces, which give them an authentic and unique look.
